"I was there for dinner on a weekday and the place was not very crowded. I had a Wienerschnitzel which was very good. Even though I don't like the potato salad, I enjoyed this one. The service of the waiters was ok, although not quite as good as the quality of the food. I would recommend this place if you are looking for good German food in Dortmund."

"We loved our visit at the Bendiktiner for dinner. After a rather disappointing experience at a brewery around the corner, the welcoming atmosphere at this restaurant was such a refreshing change. It was 15 of us and our main waiter Sascha took excellent care of every single one in our group. Timing and accuracy of service was perfect and the food was plentiful and delicious."

"Excellent food and service!!! Pork knuckle plate (juicy inside and crusty skin, soooo tasty) with 2 pint of beer came up to 33 EU, 40 EU with tips. Will goback on my next trip to Dortmund!!"

"Real austrian beer house. The food is insanely delicious, the real taste. Goes great with tap beer (available in many brands). The tables are available, no reservation needed. The service is extra nice and adds up to a very good dinner experience. A must-see in Dortmund, especially if zum Alten Markt has no free tablet, than this is the same thing."

"This was an unexpected stop before heading out of town. The restaurant had a beautiful design, amazing atmosphere, superb service by server and bartender - Sasha and Eunang. Bavarian steak dinner was wonderful and flavorful. The restaurant was full and it was obvious there were a good number of regulars."
